What a day. Traffic torment morning and afternoon. 340 miles and now Frazzled!!!!!

The car behaved well, and was exceeded 50mpg on the way up, despite me having to do the last 30-40 miles at 95 to make up for the 2 hours it took to get between Portsmouth and Winchester. On the way back things were much more sedate until the A34 approaching Winchester where there was a huge delay. Traffic stretched for miles. Eventually we crawled to a point blue flashing lights sould be seen up ahead... but frustratingly by the time we got there everything was clear so there was no evidence of the reason for our 45 minute delay.
