The Silver Vixen is home. She's had a good day with Cousteau-cub, though it sounds as if Cousteau-cub is coming down with a cold. Let's hope some medication and an early night helps her throw it off. Their shopping trip was fun, and the SV came back with several swatches of fabric, and some early Christmas gifts.
Barrel phoned soon after the SV returned. Apparently, the folk from Jimi's place had already been along to the holiday camp to assess auntie P. Auntie P. was laughing and joking with them, and seems happy to go and join them. The lady from the SS has been talking to Grumpy and everything seems to be progressing well. There are a few little snags to be ironed out, but it looks as if auntie P. could soon be on the move. I think this will be a great relief to everyone concerned.

Sad news about Crazy Horse succumbing to a brain tumour, today. He always came across as a really nice, optimistic, cheerful chap. So many people get blinded by their own fame; he just seemed like a normal chap. The sort of person you'd want as a neighbour.

The Squaddie phoned early in the evening asking if I could spare a couple of days to help them with the Finn thing for Auntie. Had to let him down as am due to be up Feltham Old Pretenders Institute tomorrow. It turns out that Neddy had been sitting on the material ofr several weeks, and it has only come to light no, with less than a week until cut-off. The more I think about it, the more I believe I was right not to jump ship and join them... I suspect I'd have been lumbered with stuff like this all the time.
