Dinner is cooking, the Silver Vixen is sewing, the fire is alight... and here I sit. Just got an email from Ulster-Mac with a wonderful snippet from a Tyrone newspaper of the 1880s. Have updated the web site (first time this month... funny how it goes in cycles from frantic to comatose).
Quiet afternoon started with a brief polka with a paint brush. Both log caddies are now done, so should stand up to the worst that the weather can throw at us. Also took the opportunity to cluster the garden furniture together and cover it with a large fitted cover. I must say it was a bit of a devil to secure, as it only had a few eyelets. I improvised with some garden twine in addition to the short nylone "laces" they provided.
Watched the football, but thought it was a derby match (Man Utd -v- Man City) it wasn't really as gripping as it could have been. Cousteau-cub will be pleased that the the draw only afforded a singlr point.
D'ankle called. She'd been to Jimi's place with the Barrel. She too was impressed, but it seems like the Barrel can't see past the shiny things, and because the fabric of the building is less modern she is still hestitating. Anyway, it seems as if the prices fall within the allocation available from the SS, so the family will probably try to confirm agreement to the move tomorrow... then it will just be a case of scheduling it.
