Celebration

It should have been a celebration day. It is, after all, the 52nd anniversary of our wedding. Events conspired against us. We had to take care of Ellie, as Zoe was at work. This is no problem as she is very good. We also had to take Jasper back to the vet and leave him there. We had to be aware that they might phone with news and also had to factor in a return trip to collect him at the end of the day. So it was, we did nothing special.

I did manage to go out for a brief walk and stopped to get my hair cut while out. Diane did some laundry and Ellie played and watched her iPad.

Come the afternoon, Ellie's friend Jaxson had come to keep her company. I retired to my study and worked on the document management project. The recommended setting I received from the community last night worked perfectly, first time. Unfortunately, all of the files I had already filed were lost in the transition, but that's not too serious as I still have the originals and can resubmit them.

We collected Jasper from the vet at the end of the day. He's feeling very sorry for himself and still hasn't really eaten or drunk. We have to take him back first thing tomorrow for more tests and possibly a scan.

With 52 years under our belts I have committed to a further 48... but after that we'll review the situation.
