Time passes

Sometimes time passes without anything of great importance. It was a frosty morning when Ellie was dropped off. Breakfast and ablutions followed before the Gorse Fox was cajoled into playing a form of dominoes with Ellie in the countdown to school.

Back home the Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen had some breakfast and then spent the days on our respective projects. For the Silver Vixen this was frustrating. She spent all morning resizing a pattern to make an outfit for Ellie for the upcoming World Book Week. The fabric is all ready, the pattern complete and all was ready to go.

Ding! The alert on our watches called for attention. It was one of a batch of emails from the school. The last of these emails revealed that there would be no dressing up for Work Book Week this year. What a good job the Silver Vixen hadn't got any further.

The Gorse Fox spent his time in the family tree. He had received notification of a DNA match (albeit distant). The information implied a link through his 2nd Great grandfather. He looked at the information and started to expand his own tree down that branch. Remember, only sourced, provable information goes into the Gorse Fox's tree. That's where it fell apart. This person is clearly related - the DNA says so. They are not, however, related the way they think they are. Their tree is unsourced and has a few glaring errors (like Clara's second marriage - two years after she had died). The Gorse Fox hasn't found the correct link yet, but will return to the case at a later date.
