Urban-Cub was at home this morning so Ellie got ready for school round at home. The Gorse Fox went round at the appropriate time to escort them to school.
Once home, he did a quick change and set off for Worthing and today's football. Unfortunately there are at least 5 regulars out with Covid, so we had to make do with 9-a-side. The sides seemed well balanced, but it was clear that we had a very strong defence. So it worked out. We (the blue team) kept a clean sheet, winning 3-0 in the first game. Our passing and movement was much better than the yellow team. The second game saw another clean sheet, this time it was 2-0. In the final game, we blotted our copy book and allowed one goal in, but score two in return. A thoroughly successful session.
Once home, the Gorse Fox had a quick shower then went round to M&S to collect some new slippers and some chinos. The chinos are fine, but the slippers are huge. They will have to go back and be changed.
Ellie's at home overnight, so all is quiet.
