Ellie was dropped off just after 7:00. She was very excited. In recognition of Her Majesty's 70 year anniversary of accession, the school wanted the children to come dressed as Kings or Queens. Elli had been very doubtful about the whole idea and didn't really wish to participate at first. Then the wind changed and she was very eager to get involved and spent yesterday decorating a crown. She turned up to us in a onesie and coat with her costume and crown in a bag.
We had breakfast and then Ellie went to wash and dress. The Silver Vixen supervised and helped with her costume. She came back down and posed for the paparazzi.
Finally ready, we headed off to school. It was quite funny to see all these little tots dressed up in their regal paraphernalia, and nice that the school felt that this was a good way to mark the anniversary.
The rest of the day has been pretty quiet. A few bits of admin were ticked off the list, and the Gorse Fox looked at some YouTube videos regrading the use and management of citations and sources in genealogical records. This made him realise that he has a bit of tidying up that needs doing.
