The Gorse Fox has received an email

Your 365 days plan for  NORTON 360 PROTECTION has been successfully renewed & restored.

 

The payment will be reflected within next 24 to 48 hrs. on your account record.

well the email goes on to lay out an invoice and claims that it will take 450.51USD in the next 1-2 days, giving Norton 360 coverage for a further year with automatic renewal.

There was the strong whiff of a rodent.

The Gorse Fox doesn't use Norton 360 and hasn't done so for at least 10 years.

The email has the "helpful" comment:

* If you wish to claim a REFUND then please feel free to Contact our Billing Department as soon as Possible.*

That's not going to happen. That is where they try to trawl for account details. The Gorse Fox has, however, forwarded the email to report@phishing.gov.uk
