Ellie had a wonderful party yesterday, but this morning she woke up full of cold. She is a veritable snot-machine. The Gorse Fox went round to meet them and walk with them to Dizzy Ducklings. Though clearly unwell, she insisted that she wanted to go.
Back home the Gorse Fox did a quick change and headed out to Worthing. Football restarted today. The Gorse Fox was one of the 14 players booked in for today's game. (He only booked for the first hour, the second hour - pure running football - will have to wait a few weeks). The teams were evenly balanced and the new chap in charge of the football was playing on the Gorse Fox's team. It was a good start to playing again. The Gorse Fox managed to score a good goal and hit the post twice. We played three games, drawing the first two, 2-2 and 1-1, and then losing 1-0 in the final game.
The Gorse Fox was delighted with how things had gone. He had played well and wasn't too tired at the end. Time will tell if he stiffens up overnight. There's another game scheduled for tomorrow morning.
We had a message, Ellie was fading fast and we go and collect her. We whizzed around to pre-school and collected her. Her cold was in full flood.
We brought her home and spent a quiet afternoon with her. Fortunately, we had a few more Birthday presents for her to unwrap and that occupied her for a while. Then, with a new doll and cot to play with, she spent the afternoon mothering the new addition to her family.
