Ellie had a very good night's sleep, and woke around 6:30. That's not a problem, particularly when all she wants is Grandpa to switch on his tablet so she can watch YouTube Kids until she has to get up. After that the early morning went much as usual. She had her breakfast, the Silver Vixen prepared her packed lunch, she got ready for Dizzy Ducklings and we took her along to the pre-school.
Once back we had our own breakfast and then the Silver Vixen prepared for her Zoom Pilates, which would occupy the rest of the morning.
The Gorse Fox retired to the study. There was the online shopping list to submit, then the rest of the day has been spent working on various branches of the family tree. The focus has been one particular family, the Gorse Fox's 2nd cousins. He went through the backup copy that his, now deceased, cousin Mark had sent and used this as a cross-check with his own research. Where possible he brought this up to date and tried to delve a little further into the archives to glean some new data. It has been an interesting exercise.
We collected Ellie from pre-school. The teacher was having problems getting one of the kids to leave and go to his mum. The reason? He wanted to go back in and say goodbye to Ellie. The teacher explained that everyone loves Ellie and she is the most popular child in the class. Certainly, as she came out they were all calling to her, and some wanted to walk back with us!
Urban-Cub finished her long day and collected Ellie around 16:00. SHe's back home tonight, but back with us tomorrow night.
