The Gorse Fox has spent a frustrating afternoon struggling with geotagging.
The good news is that the app can be controlled from the iWatch.
The bad news is that the tagging still seems a bit hit and miss. Predominantly miss. The photos are tagged and within the iPhoto app on the iPad and iPhone they are correctly positioned on the map. When you look at the backup version taken by Google Photos, the data has gone and Google tries to guess where it was taken.
The developer says that it is because IOS doesn’t extract the location data when the photo is exported. That doesn’t quite make sense as the data from iPhone photos has the GPS coordinates when carried into Google.
The whole afternoon has been spent trying to find a work around, to no avail.
