Frustration and Email

The Gorse Fox decided that he wanted a backup email address that wasn't tied to an ISP. This seemed like an easy thing to set up. How naive!

He decided that he would use an Apple email address. He researched how to set this up and got started. Setting up the account was simple and to prevent confusion he linked it to the Mail app on his iMac, iPad, and iPhone without issue. What about the MacBook you might ask? Well, indeed. That's where it all became confused. It didn't matter what he did, he could not get the new email address to work on the Mail app. He even compared line-by-line between the iMac and MacBook - no luck. He fiddled around for several hours and in the end, gave up. This is a problem for another day.

The Gorse Fox got an email from HMRC. It informed him that his tax codes may have changed and he should log into his account and check the details. He logged in, followed the instructions and was presented with a message that the service wasn't available. So much for emails today.

The Gorse Fox may have mentioned, last year, that he had set up a new bank account with N26, and how easy it had been. Well, it appears that, as a result of Brexit, and the fact they don't have a UK Banking License, they are closing their UK accounts. Not very successful.
