Counting...

We had a fairly usual start to the morning. The Gorse Fox was up first, washed, dressed and ready to greet Ellie when she was dropped off soon after 07:00. Then we followed the time-honoured procedure that took us from breakfast through to the school gates.

Back home the first task was to ensure we were set for tomorrow. Train tickets had to be purchased (which, incidentally were £11 more expensive than they were last night when the Gorse Fox checked). He also needed to check on the car parking at the station. This has proved problematic before as he had to have an account with the right parking App. The problem was that he couldn't remember which one. He got to the bottom of this and then found he could pre-book and pre-pay online. This was the perfect solution. No faffing was needed in the morning.

With admin out of the way, the Gorse Fox returned to the blog extracts. He is now processing 2011. This filled most of the free moments remaining.

The phone rang. It was Southampton General Hospital (Cardiac Unit). They have now got in touch and requested the pleasure of the Silver Vixen's company next Tuesday for various tests and a meeting with the consultant. Finally, things are starting to move.

We collected Ellie from school, as usual. While the Gorse Fox prepared dinner, Ellie and the Silver Vixen started to prepare the party bags for the coming weekend's festivities.

Urban-cub managed to get away a little early and has just collected Ellie.

Meanwhile, Cousteau-cub and the Coventry Hobbit are celebrating their 10th Wedding Anniversary with a short break in Edinburgh. The Gorse Fox has had various messages from her and they are clearly loving Edinburgh - and have had lovely weather today.
