The Gorse Fox had decided against football. Though his shoulder is almost back to normal he didn't want to chance being body-checked or falling on it. This was particularly relevant as the game would have been in the indoor arena at Ford because of the torrential rain.
The Silver Vixen headed off to Pilates and the Gorse Fox slipped on his trainers and set off on the running machine. He probably should have done longer, but enjoyed a good 45 minutes work-out.
When he was showered and had settled down to do some emails he noticed that his TimeMachine backup device had dropped offline. This was a surprise as it had run without incident for a couple of years. He checked everything and decided that first order of the day was to just try a simple reboot of the Mac "Condor". This worked and everything burst back into life. He'll have to keep a watchful eye on this in case the power supply or disk is failing.
The Gorse Fox did manage to chat with Cousteau-Cub on WhatsApp briefly. She's had some laryngitis but it has now evolved into a bit of a cold - with luck we'll get a chance to talk in the next couple of days.
At lunchtime the Silver Vixen arrived back home with Ellie. G-force would be on duty for the next 24 hours or so. Ellie was in a somewhat cantankerous mood and once fed and worn out a bit we put her down for a sleep. This worked wonders and she was much more chirpy when she got up. The rest of the day really revolved around Ellie - playing, running, eating, bathing, drinking and eventually sleeping.
