The day dawned bright and sunny and managed to maintain that throughout the day. It was gorgeous. Despite a few coughs and calling out a few times in the night, Ellie slept through until about 0715. This was just fine as the Gorse Fox went in and chatted to her for a while before taking her back to see Nana and slowly getting the day started. For Ellie, it would be scrambled eggs, for the Silver Vixen a cup of tea!
The morning really revolved round Ellie as the Gorse Fox and the Silver Vixen tag-teamed her. When she went down for a nap, the Gorse Fox decided to upgrade "eagle" to the latest version of Ubuntu - namely "Bionic Beaver" (or more prosaically 18.04). The upgrade took about 30 minutes from start to finish and went without a hitch. Such a refreshing change from the old Windows upgrades - even the Mac updates are beginning to take longer, so Bionic Beaver is a hit with the Gorse Fox.
Pistol Pete had been working at Ford today and was able to get away early afternoon. He picked Ellie up and whisked her away leaving the Silver Vixen and the Gorse Fox to de-Elliefy the house. As the Gorse Fox writes this, he is preparing a fish curry for this evening's supper. At the moment the base gravy is simmering on the stove and in about 30 minutes it should be time to liquidise it and then use that as the base to which the cod loin and prawns will be added. Hopefully it should be good.
