GF wanted a walk. He has a sore toe, however, and with a trip to Barcelona this week, he didn't want to exacerbate things. Maybe a gentle stroll would be ok.

Mark from Blognor Regis had recommended a section of the South Downs Way near Whiteways... so GF came up with this route. The route starts at Whiteways in the bottom righ-hand corner of the map, then follows the bridleways clockwise through the Houghton Forest up to Bignor Down and round and back via Westburton Hill to the start.
