Somehow "Stormy Wednesday" doesn't have the same ring to it as "Stormy Monday". The morning followed the forecast and was bright and sunny. Soon after lunch, though, the wind picked up and blew furiously across the coastal plain. Garden furniture was redistributed around the garden and a huge tarpaulin blew into our garden from the neighbour's patio. The Gorse Fox passed it back to him as he explained, apologetically, that it had been tied down but was no match for the wind.
Knowing the forecast, we stayed in. The Silver Vixen sat in Orangery, reading, while the Gorse Fox retired to the study to continue editing and formatting the 2008 blog extract. We have just finished dinner and are settling down for the evening. The wind has died down and hopefully, it too will have a quiet evening.
