Almost perfect

The Gorse Fox was in two minds. Should he go to football, or should he stay put and do some admin and family tree research. Football won.

He headed off across to Worthing. It was a fabulous day. The sun was bright, it was warm, and there wasn't a cloud to be seen. The Gorse Fox was picked for the Green-2 team.  We had one injured player who could hardly move (but was stubborn), and a goalkeeper who would need a step-up to reach 5 feet. It could be interesting. Fortunately we had a very strong attack and midfield.  The first game was hard fought and ended 0-0. The Gorse Fox had had one chance but completely mishit the ball. The following game was similarly hard, and ended with the same score. In the last game, we finally broke through. Unfortunately, so did they. Final score 1-1. Never mind, it was good fun and all played in good natured manner.

This afternoon has been quiet. We sat out the back listening to the rill bubbling away. The Silver Vixen then went off to collect Ellie from school with Urban-Cub, then popped across to see Lady Penelope and Old Bill.
