After this morning's cousins' call the Gorse Fox settled down to find an alternative for the cruise. After all, we already have the cattery booked and they have very little accommodation for other times in the summer. The keyboard glowed hot as the Gorse Fox compared hotels in Jersey and in Cornwall. Then he wondered about AIRBnB and scanned through hundreds of properties in Jersey, on the Isle of Wight, and in Cornwall. It took all morning, but eventually we decided on an Airbnb in Falmouth - right on the Quay. It looks very nice and it is right in the heart of the town, so everything is in a couple of minutes walk. We now have something to which we can look forward, again.
As for the cancelled cruise - the refund for the pre-booked excursions has been confirmed and we are just waiting too hear about the cruise fare refund. We have (or should we say, Trevor has) rebooked the cruise for September 2023... with the original itinerary and the same cabins we had originally picked.
