We were up about 6-ish. Urban-Cub packed her car and did a final sweep of the house for anything that had been missed. She woke Ellie and took her down to the car and was on her way well before 7. We were a bit more leisurely but by 7:15 we were on our way. It had been a good week.
The early start was a masterstroke. Ellie had fallen back to sleep and Urban-Cub was able to push right on through, getting home in under three hours. The Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen stopped at Rownham Services for a coffee and a roll but even still managed the the journey in 3hours and 10 minutes. There were no hold-ups, no delays, no traffic queues, not even any traffic lights against us. (Traffic in the other direction was not so lucky!)
By midday, we were unpacked, the washing was on, and the Gorse Fox had been to Sainsbury’s for the weekend shopping. Now for a quiet afternoon.
