Gosh, we slept well last night. There's nothing quite like your own bed. The Gorse Fox finally dragged himself into the day as the clock approached eight. A very leisurely breakfast ensued, then, when the Silver Vixen had had her shower, we pottered across to Sidlesham to collect Jasper. The Gorse Fox had checked, in advance, whether he had used the minbar overnight. He hadn't, so the Gorse Fox settled the bill.
Back home, with Jasper roaming around the house to reacquaint himself with the layout, the Gorse Fox hot the study. It was time to catch up on a couple of weeks of accounts. This took a lot longer than expected because the Gorse Fox hadn't been his usual organised self in terms of which cards to use for which payments, while on holiday. Never mind, it all balanced out in the end.
His replacement for Condor is due to arrive this week. As you know, the Gorse Fox has developed a substitute backup system while Condor was unavailable. His 40+ years of working in IT kicked in and he has started to revise his data backup strategy and update the documentation he had developed. This has taken much of the afternoon and he would guess there is at least another half-day required to finish it. Like so many things to do with computing, documentation is essential but is so often ignored for home computing setups.
