The Gorse Fox woke up with an acute attack of foot pain. He couldn't put any weight through his left foot. This is a problem he has had before and it seems to strike randomly, lasts for a few days, and then disappears completely. It is frustrating as well as painful, and he had to cancel today's football.

The Silver Vixen went off to Pilates so the Gorse Fox hobbled upstairs to the study. He settled down with some YouTube videos that explained the basic techniques for video editing with DaVinci Resolve. It seems immensely powerful, and he's fairly sure that he'll only ever use a small subset of the tools available. He picked a fairly simple, short video to begin with. Bit by bit it came together and eventually he got to the final stage, which is to render the edited video. That's where things seemed to grind to a halt. He knows from experience that rendering video can be slow, but so far it has been running for three and half hours with and hour and twenty-four minutes to go! Hopefully, the final result will be worth it. The lesson to learn from this is to get everything ready and then let it render overnight.
