There had been a lot of rain overnight but it was drying up by the time we came down for coffee. There was a chilly wind, but it was bright and sunny.
The morning was consumed with domestic trivia and a quick trip to Sainsbury's to top up on some of the essentials that we don't choose to order from Ocado. Then the Gorse Fox had to pop in to Chichester.
He just missed one bus but realised it the an earlier bus running behind schedule. Hi bus arrived on time and whizzed into Chichester with but a single stop.
The Gorse Fox was early for his appointment so went for a walk round the town. Heading up towards the Cathedral he ducked down a path he hadn't previously taken and cam across this courtyard behind the Cloisters. It was very tranquil and the Gorse Fox could imagine sitting there in perfect peace on a nice warm day.
Things can change quickly near the coast. By the time that the Gorse Fox had completed his appointment and was ready to head home, it was thrashing down with rain. He headed for the bus station, lackey-split, and waited under cover for his bus home.
Needless to say it cleared up again almost as soon as he got in the door back home. It has turned into a nice afternoon. Old Bill and Lady Penelope have just dropped their keys in as they are off to the airport and then Jamaica, and the Silver Vixen has popped out to a meeting. The Gorse Fox has tidied another shelf in his wardrobe... who says retired people don't have fun?
