Banned

Well that was an interesting morning. As it's Shrove Tuesday and the Gorse Fox know that the Silver Vixen likes pancakes he made up some batter and greeted the Silver Vixen with some lovely thick American-style buttermilk pancakes. He must say that he was very pleased with the outcome, and so was the Silver Vixen. They were very filling, and absolutely delicious with a drizzle of maple syrup over them.

The Gorse Fox had his usual football session. The first hour was going well and we had won our first two games and were just swapping pitches for the next game when there was a ruckus and a lot of shouting. The Gorse Fox wasn't sure what was going on but it soon became clear that one of the usual suspects had lost his cool again and this time the ref had stepped in and sent him off. It escaped from there and in the end he was ejected from and banned from the sports centre. Silly little chap just has no control of his temper or his mouth... and by the age of 70+ is unlikely to ever change. (Interestingly he was a diplomat before he retired).

We drew our last game of the hour and then we changed personnel and swapped to the small 5-a-side cages and played three more games of 4-a-side. They proved to be hard work. The Gorse Fox's team lost the first and second game but managed to get win in the last game. Only one goal for the Gorse Fox today.

As the Gorse Fox writes this, the Instant Pot is busy cooking Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken). It smells wonderful. The Gorse Fox has reduced the salt and omitted the cayenne this time so that it should be milder for the Silver Vixen.
