Well the Gorse Fox must say that yesterday evening was an absolute pleasure. He had a trouble-free run up to Victoria on the train and then walked up past Buckingham Palace, through Green Park and along Piccadilly before dropping down to Jermyn Street and The Cavendish. We had a table booked at Petrichor. The Gorse Fox was first to arrive and settled down with a beer to await the others. The Abbot was next to arrive and it was so nice to catch up with all his news. He was truly one of the nice men of Starfleet. The Headmistress and Mother Superior arrived and we settled down for a tasty meal, a bottle of wine, and a couple of hours of chin wagging. Certainly the Gorse Fox looks back on his time with The Department and realises it really was one of the most interesting projects he had worked on, and certainly had some of the nicest people.
We left soon after nine and the Gorse Fox headed for Victoria and grabbed the train home. It wast twenty to midnight before he rolled in to Bognor and hopped in a taxi home. That was a late night for him.
This morning was another wonderful day, weather-wise. The sun shone, the sky was blue and it was really quite warm. Certainly the Gorse Fox questioned his choice of kit for football... and perhaps made the wrong choice.
Football was fun but busy. Two hours - two wins, two draws, two losses, no goals. That about sums it up.
This afternoon the Gorse Fox spent time with his spreadsheets. Urban-Cub had wanted a printout of some of the childcare data and the Gorse Fox decided that a new Query could be run to extract the data and make it suitable for printing. It took a while to get the query to parse correctly, but he got it done and the printouts are ready to take to Urban-Cub tomorrow.
