Quiet

We had a fairly leisurely start as Ellie was happy playing in her cot for a while after waking up. Once the morning ablutions were done, breakfast consumed, the latest news of Peppa Pig checked, and various nursery rhymes sung, Urban-Cub and Ellie got their stuff ready to head off home. It's been lovely having them for a few days... by my goodness it's quiet now!

It was bitterly cold again overnight, but again we had a lovely crisp blue sky this morning. The upshot of that is that despite the sub-zero external temperatures, in the Orangery it was in the mid 20s again. We settled down for a quiet hour in the warm sun.

As the Gorse Fox intimated, he now has an Instant Pot multi-cooker. This is just as well given the state of the oven door. This afternoon he has cooked a gammon - which took all of 13 minutes and he's about to cook a 3.7kg chicken. Hopefully this will turn out ok - either that or we may be getting another takeaway like we did last night.
