Play misty for me

It was a pretty dreek start to the day. A fine muzzle was falling and though it was about 8-9C it felt a lot cooler. The Gorse Fox made sure he had a waterproof top and plenty of layers available when he left for football. The Silver Vixen had decided that with the weather like this, she would use the car rather than the bus for her planned trip into Chichester.

By the time the Gorse Fox had arrived in Worthing the drizzle had stopped and, though still cool, it was at least dry. We had a good turnout and ended up playing 8-a-side. The Gorse Fox finds this a bit crowded, but it wasn't too bad as people were moving into space well. We lost the first two games 1-0 and won the last game 3-0 (with one of the goals from the Gorse Fox).

In the second hour we dropped to 5-a-side. This is always more fun as there is plenty of space to exploit and being the second hour, fitness begins to influence the game. We lost the first game 3-2 and then drew the next two games. Again, the Gorse Fox was able to score one of our goals (so that's 11 for the year so far).

It has been a quiet afternoon with the Gorse Fox spending time looking at various recipes that make use of the multi-cooker. Though there's no need for tonight (we still have plenty of chicken left from Sunday), he is thinking ahead for tomorrow or Thursday.
