A Glass

Ellie slept through until seven-thirty then came in to be with us for half an hour before starting to fidget and wanting to get up. This is a very civilised start to a Sunday morning.

Once breakfast and everything was done the Silver Vixen took her up for her wash and the Gorse Fox headed off for football. It was a straightforward 5-v-5 today and was fairly tight until the last 5 minutes or so when the Orange team scored several goals to finish 9-6 winners. The Gorse Fox did get on the score sheet - but unfortunately he was playing for the yellow bibs.

Back home the Silver Vixen and Ellie were making the most of the unseasonal weather and were out in the garden. It really was very comfortable in the sun and Ellie made the most of the swing and the deck to entertain her doll "baby".

After lunch Ellie went down for a good long sleep and was still in the cot when Urban-Cub arrived to collect her. We let her rest until she woke naturally and it gave Urban-Cub a chance to catch 30 minutes kip after her early start this morning.

Urban-Cub and Ellie have gone home now and the house seems astonishingly quiet. The Gorse Fox thinks a glass of wine may be calling (he opened a bottle yesterday - it was his first "drink" since New Years Eve as he starts each year with a "dry" period that concludes on his birthday).
