Well that turned out to be a good day. The weather was wet and miserable, but events worked in our favour. The Silver Vixen was out meeting a friend for coffee and the Gorse Fox stayed behind to greet the Neff engineer. He turned up mid-morning. He was a nice chap and we got talking about football while he worked on the oven door. The Gorse Fox told him that he hadn't been best pleased by the "expired warranty" stance taken by Customer Services. He looked at the part that had failed (in fact broken) and declared that it shouldn't happen and as far and he was concerned, this was a warranty issue. Thirty minutes later it was all finished and fixed and the bill was produced for a total of £0.00. Now that is a result.
After lunch the Gorse Fox pottered about and brought the accounts up to date. This took a little while as it became clear that his aggregator had missed some accounts. Once resolved, he finished it off and closed the spreadsheet. Then he spent some time examine the recipes for the multi-cooker. The ham and the chicken cooked yesterday turned out to be very successful... a 750gm ham in 13 minutes, a 3.75lb chicken took 25 minutes. Both turned out to be full of flavour and delightfully moist. He wa looking for a recipe for some of the chicken leftovers... but in the end, decided on a stir-fry.
