The morning was unremarkable. It was the usual procession of rise, breakfast, school, and the home for the Ocado delivery and then the trip to Sainsbury's.
The afternoon was different. Urban-Cub would be collecting Ellie and taking her swimming. The Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox joined up with Tinkerbell and Two Hats and went the Chichester Crematorium to say farewell to one of our neighbours. With several roads closed, the route to Chichester was very busy, but as we were in front of the "principals'" car we didn't worry too much. The service was very tasteful and it was sad to say goodbye to one of the world's genuinely nice men. One saying of his that was quoted was based on his personal demand for punctuality. "Leave early, if you arrive and have time to spare - waste it".
We didn't join the family and friends at the reception. There were mourners from all over the world and it was a time for family and close friends.
Back home the Gorse Fox collected some fish and chips. This was the first time for many months. It's easy to forget how good they are. As we were clearing away, Urban-Cub arrived with Ellie who would be staying overnight again tonight.
