Research

As the Gorse Fox was unable to play football in this month's tournament, and the the Silver Vixen with out with a friend, the Gorse Fox spent much of the day researching options for the continued development of the Raspberry Pi known as peregrine.

There is a growing list of things that the Gorse Fox want to achieve with this little machine, but (being an architect) he wants to think them all through first and make sure that the complete design is understood before he starts doing anything that may cause problems down the line. He suspects that there a fair amount of programming on the horizon... but that seems like a good project for the winter.

Urban-Cub dropped in to see us late in the afternoon. She had been across to Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth for some shopping and to meet up with the Princess, and as we are on the route home she stopped in for an hour or so.

I was in the ETS lab in Hursley last week, so as a result I'm now planning a new Rasp Pi and node red install for recognising the birds in the garden using the Pi Camera. No idea when I'll get round to it, but at least I have a plan!

Gorse Fox has lots of these plans, but tend to get distracted. The camera project was very successful as the Pi (redkite) just sat there and took photos on the hour, every hour for a year. It was only switched it off when we got back from holiday.

Indeed, always the way. My Pi will happily take photos when it detects motion now, the second piece I suspect will be a bit more complex and most definitely susceptible to error!
