We celebrated our Christmas a couple of days late. Urban Cub, Pistol Pete and the kids came to spend the day with us today. (Urban Cub and Pistole Pete were scheduled to work on the 25th and 26th). Needless to say there was huge feast at lunchtime, washed down with copious amounts of champagne, wine, beer, and so forth.
Whilst the potatoes were roasting, we opened the presents. It was clear that everyone had been very generous, and very lucky. We has so much for which we should be thankful.
After lunch and the clean up, we retired to the lounge and had a quiet afternoon watching the TV and chatting - predominantly about Urban Cub's job at Gatwick. (It's so interesting to hear what goes on behind the scenes).
It was a lovely day, and could only have been improved if Cousteau-Cub and the Coventry Hobbit had been with us, too.
