Turning left (north west) out of the car park at Lancing Ring (TQ 182 062), the Gorse Fox headed out into the Downs. The sky was overcast, and it was cool enough that GF was wearing a jacket. The forecast was for sunshine as the high cloud drifts away during the late morning.
The scrub near the car park soon open up and it was possible to get a look back towards Lancing College and Shoreham Aerodrome. the route, however was taking me in the opposite direction... and GF observed that two large mugs of tea before leaving were indeed a hindrance to the comfort of the intrepid walker.
