An interesting day for the Gorse Fox. Working at home he managed to narrow down the recruitment of new consultants onto his programme... and by the end of the week hopes to have made a final selection. He has also been transferred to a new resource management group entitled "Midlands & North"... which brings one on to the real excitement.
The birthday present from Silver Vixen turned up today. GF is now the proud owner of a GPS system. No doubt it'll take a while to become familiar with it, but at least he managed to switch it on and detect where he was on the earth's surface.** A few moments later it became clear that Midlands and North is not an appropriate soubriquet for a group that includes the GF (N 50'48"xxx W 00'27"xxx) who lives about 200feet from the high tide mark on the South Coast.***
**GF should point out that he has spent 53 years on the surface of the earth (or within 36,000 feet of it) without worrying about his location, safe in the knowledge that gravity will due its duty and keep him where he wants to be.
***A point that the GF knew, even without a GPS. (The large volume of water moving in and out twice a day gave a pretty strong clue).
