Thursday night saw the Gorse Fox staying in Malvern. The Abbey Hotel is set on the side of the Malvern Hills, and is a marvellous Gothic abbey, decked in ivy and nestling next to the Priory Church. Deciding not to eat in the hotel, GF headed out into the town centre. There beckoning in the cold evening was The Anupam. Being a sucker for Indian food the GF headed inside.
What a surprise. Ultra modern decor, really attentive waiters moving among the tables, sweeping, cleaning, moving tables. It was almost choreographed. The food was excellent, the ambience good... only the Silver Vixen was missing.
Then on returning to the hotel, the bells of the Priory started to ring out... and they rang... and rang. I searched for Esmerelda. she was nowhere to be found, so I hunched back in my room and watched the TV.
