Our little adventure started with an early alarm call and a trip along the south coast to Southampton Airport, Traffic was kind, check-in was quick (despite the old bloke that pushed in from of the whole queue), and we had time for a refreshing tea before our flight.
The flight was quick and uneventful and soon after ten we were standing by the Hertz desk negotiating the rental of a vehicle for the weekend. Gorse Fox had pre-booked a Focus, but managed to negotiate a good price for the usual "up-sale" and the Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox slipped away from the airport in a new Jaguar.
This little adventure was the Silver Vixen's Christmas present from Cousteau, & Urban-cub, and Sir Lancinglot. A weekend break at a 5-star hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond.
