Well having slept on it, GF and the Silver Vixen have decided that if a suitable deal could be struck, she would become the proud owner of the eco-baiter we test drove yesterday. GF would ike to say that the primary reason for the selection was the opportunity to rub the eco-mentalists up the wrong way... but actually the priorities were essentially:

• Automatic transmission (the SV's weakness prevents her from driving a manual).
• Safety
• Good visibility
• Easy and light to drive
• Reliability
• Comfort and back support
• Easy to enter & exit
• Economy
• Good residual value

GF has left a deposit on the chosen vehicle (but it should wash off easily enough), and has negotiated a fairly good deal.
