Experimenting

We both slept well. I was up soon after 6:30, but I was wide awake and well-rested. Di was still snoring gently as I snuck downstairs. As we were not expecting Ellie, I left her to it and chose not to disturb her with a cup of tea. Indeed, it was an hour or so later that I finally heard her moving around, and I fired up the kettle.

There was no morning walk. It was absolutely miserable outside.

Because of her problem with her knee on Monday, she decided to skip Pilates today, rather than risk stirring things up again. We had a quiet morning, though Zoe popped in for a while to reveal her shift pattern from now until the New Year.

I spent time working on my refreshed documentation for the home data centre. In doing this, I tested out a number of improvements to my existing procedures and experimented with some new ideas. These worked well and will become part of the new instructions.

After lunch, it dried up, and the sun took control. We settled in the Orangery with our Kindles, making the most of the afternoon sun.
