I was up early for Ellie's drop-off just before 6:45. She had only just woken up and took a few minutes to burst into like. Once she was operating at full power, she exploded up the stairs to see Nana, while I prepared her smoothie and my own coffee. After the usual morning procedure, we walked her to school and left her in the classroom. Diane headed home and I set off for my morning walk.
Back home, I grabbed breakfast and completed this week's shopping list. We set off for Sainsbury's soon after Lottie arrived for the cleaning. Shopping seemed remarkably smooth today. Maybe the Zombies were having a week off, or the coffin bus was running late. I finished the Sainsbury's raid with a visit to the Foreign Exchange desk where I picked up some Euros for our forthcoming trip. From Sainsbury's, we looped around to Next and the pet shop, then headed home.
Once the shopping had been stowed away, Diane received an email to confirm that her prescription was ready for collection at the pharmacy. I took the opportunity to enjoy a second walk of the day and grabbed the meds. It's nice that the weather is now warm enough that I don't need a jacket when out and about.
After lunch, there was some Kindle time before I went to collect Ellie. We stopped off at the park for 20 minutes on the way home so that she could let off steam. She wasn't with us for too long before Zoe came to collect her.
