Curry favour

We had the usual start to the day with Ellie being dropped off. She was very bubbly this morning and couldn't wait to get to school.

Once Ellie was delivered to class we headed home to get ready for our Wednesday exercises. The Gorse Fox drove the Silver Vixen to Angmering for Pilates and then carried on to Worthing for football. At first glance, the teams suffered from their usual imbalance. We, however, were immensely disciplined in defence and the whole team passed the ball well. We might have been the underdogs but by half-time we were level at 1-1 and by the end of the match we had won 3-1. Most satisfactory... and pleasantly dry after yesterday's soaking.

Back home we managed a couple of hours with our books before the Gorse Fox went to collect Ellie from school. When we got in, the Gorse Fox asked her what she wanted for dinner. He was most proud when she said she wanted a curry with yellow rice. An hour later we all settled down to a curry cooked from scratch.

We have finally succumbed to the inevitable and switched on the heating.
