The Gorse Fox was up at 7:30, late for him. A coffee kept him company while he read the news and waited for the Silver Vixen to wake up and claim her morning tea. If Jasper hadn't leapt on her, she probably would have lasted an extra hour or so, but Jasper ensured she was mobile soon after 8:00.
The Gorse Fox had his usual call with the cousins. Today it was the Birthday of two cousins. Chris, in Turkey, and Claire, in Canada.Though we had a smaller contingent than usual, we sang Happy Birthday to Chris during the call - and Tim wore a Turkish hat to celebrate. (Frightening really).
We head from Urban-Cub. Ellie was a lot better this morning and the Gorse Fox went round to give her the Poppy-appeal wrist bands that he had collected from the school. She was certainly very chirpy and seemed almost like her normal self.
Back home there were several chores to complete before the Gorse Fox settled down for some filing and some genealogical research. It was in during this research that the courier arrived with the Gorse Fox's new air fryer. He looks forward to getting to grips with it, though it is unlikely to break even, financially, for quite a while yet! He did use it this evening to cook the Silver Vixen's salmon and the Gorse Fox's "ready meal" frozen curry. It worked pretty well, but timing need to be adjusted slightly. The Gorse Fox had to struggle with the choice between "fryer" and, given his background, "friar". Actually, as long as it tastes good, it doesn't really matter.
