Barn door

Ellie was at home last night so the Gorse Fox (suitably caffeinated) wandered round to meet her and Urban-Cub and walk with them to school. It was a nice but windy morning.

Back home we finished getting ready and the Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen headed off. The Silver Vixen for Pilates and the Gorse Fox for football. We had an extraordinarily quick run through and the Gorse Fox dropped the Silver Vixen at the Community Centre and headed on to the Sports Centre.

Jack had picked the teams and, as usual, there was a significant imbalance between the teams. The Gorse Fox, playing in Yellow, was up against the four best outfielders in the club. He and Ian played at the back and managed to keep things under control for about 10 minutes and then the goal was breached. I think the final score was about 5-1 or 6-1. The Gorse Fox tried to help out with our attack when the opportunity arose. It was no use, he had one of the those days where he couldn't have hit a barn-door from two paces.

He collected the Silver Vixen on the way back through and we had a quite afternoon. Urban-Cub has just dropped Ellie off as she will be staying with us overnight.
