Sunny

The forecast was for high temperatures.  People flocked to the coast. People ignored the concept of social distancing. We stayed put and had a quiet day in the garden. During the morning Urban-cub and the Gorse Fox finished cleaning the last batch of cobbles for the rill, rinsed them, and returned them to their watery home. It was a bit messy, but it had to be done.

Urban-cub had pumped up the paddling pool and topped it up. Ellie spent much of the day go in and out of the pool. This afternoon Cousteau-cub and the Coventry Hobbit came round and sat in the paddling pool with Ellie while enjoying the sun.

By mid-afternoon, some cloud had bubbled up and provided cover for the rest of the afternoon. It's very still and muggy. Though none is forecast, the Gorse Fox wouldn't be surprised if we had a thunderstorm.

Cousteau-cub and the Coventry Hobbit left late afternoon. We did some tidying up and prepared tea for Ellie (which she didn't eat) and then Urban-cub took her off to Pistol Pete's for the weekend.
