Storm

Another named storm is hitting us today. Again, we have been lucky. There has been very little rain, but the wind has been relentless.

The weather meant that we were pretty much confined to barracks. The Urban-Cub and Ellie did pop round to Sainsbury's at one point, but they weren't gone for long. The Silver Vixen has been preparing the Ocado shopping list and a couple of week's of menus.

The Gorse Fox returned to yesterday's little conundrum. It occurred to him that the most important date for photos and videos (whatever their source) was the original creation date. A neat little tool called "ExifTool" can extract all sorts of information from a media file., including the original creation date. Now, if he could call up that information in his existing filer program, he can check and if necessary reset the file date. It took a little fiddling about to determine the right logic, but soon the program was humming away processing media files whether they arrived from Google Photos or from Mac's Photos application. Job done.
