The Gorse Fox was no amused when Jasper started his merry japes at 5:12 this morning He ignored him as long as possible but in the end had to succumb at 6:30. Enough was enough and the Gorse Fox was clearly not getting any further rest (let alone sleep).
It's Wednesday so that meant football. The Gorse Fox was picked for the 'yellow-bibs' and it was immediately clear that we were in for a thrashing. All the acknowledged mobile strikers were playing in orange. The Gorse Fox had his back to the wall from the off. We lost 5-1. The Gorse Fox failed to score but rarely ventured across the half way line. It was a matter of remaining disciplined and alert. He was very happy with is overall game today. Even though we lost, it would have been a lot worse had the Gorse Fox not been on good defensive form.
Back home we had an exchange of messages with the Silver Vixen's nephew who is staying nearby with his family. The question was whether we could get together before they head back to bandit country at the end of the week. In the end it was decided they would meet up with Urban-Cub and the Silver Vixen on Friday for breakfast. Shame the Gorse Fox won't be there, but he has other plans for Friday.
The Silver Vixen has been pottering in the garden this afternoon. She was sorting out some of the pots we have at the front of the house and preparing them for winter. The Gorse Fox must make some time to go out and put the garden furniture to bed for the winter and clear the garage so that it can be used for the car gain.
