It has been a delight. Gorse Fox and the Silver Vixen headed across to Hampshire to see Betty and Barney Rubble. It was a slow drive as the roads were clogged with cyclists trying to prevent motorists from getting anywhere quickly. After catching up on all the gossip we headed out to The Crown in Old Basing for a very pleasant lunch served by a charming waitress. (Note: she is obviously new to this job - she was charming, funny, helpful and polite).
A quite afternoon in the garden chatting about all and sundry, examining the flora, and discussing the results of Barney's woodwork whilst drink tea and eating cake. If we had resorted to croquet it might have been a scene from a period drama.
