It may be early March, but it was a lovely day. The sun was playing hide and seek between cotton wool clouds. It was too nice not to do something, and a brief review of the National Trust brochure showed that we had visited most of the properties nearby.
The Gorse Fox is only holiday - going further afiled is not a problem and so we headed east along the A27 and then north to Bodiam Castle, some 60 miles from home, sitting there on a small rise examining its fine old reflection in the flooded mill pond below.
