So what have we learned this week?
- The government is going to help with fuel bills
- This help comes in a recommendation for better insulation
- If you can't afford it - borrow money to install it
- Because of the credit crunch you can't, of course, do that
So what we have is just the usual fatuous hot air from ministers who are cosseted by our taxes and the prospect of gold-plated pensions.
(*) Ok, perhaps this doesn't stand up to objective scrutiny.

Perhaps the fatuous hot air could be used instead as an improved heating system? It must have some use surely - although it obviously doesn't take much thought or energy to generate it!
I agree entirely, even your bruiisaed heel is Gordon Brown's fault! As for his offer of help - well you got that one right too. Well said GF.
