The pace is beginning to accelerate at work and at home.
At work the plan is coming together and his new colleague is already beginning to show his value by picking up some of the tasks that have been backlogged.
The journey home was slow - an accident on the M4 had caused a huge tailback that added about 40 minutes to the journey. It was a great relief to finally cross the level-crossing, turn off into Kingston Lane and see home appear through the front windscreen.
At home things are are also moving quickly - Cousteau-cub seems to have got almost everything sorted out, and is now just waiting to get her flights back to Thailand... in fact she is hoping to get tickets for Saturday's flight. (So there'll be no long good-byes, this time round).
