Cousteau-cub saw the specialist this morning and was sent home for an overnight bag. She was told to be back at the hospital for midday. We spoke to her soon after. The Maxilo-facial guy has decided to try to adjust the lie of her jaw with strong elastic bands, rather than surgery at this point. He will start the procedure late afternoon today.

We had some chores to complete today, and then took a walk in the afternoon. Obviously. being concerned about C-c, we were not too bothered about doing anything special.

Just spoken to hospital, she's back from surgery, exhausted but ok. We have spoken to the nurses and all went well for now. They are well aware of the traumatic week she's had and are giving her their very best attention.

Must say we are relieved.
